Connecting the Dots:
1:1 Support for Moms of Children with Down Syndrome with Starr Muranko
You know that support exists, you're just not sure how to find it or make it work for your family. I can help.
Is this you?
Maybe you've heard about other T21 moms who have amazing medical teams, or you've seen families who seem to have their educational support dialed in, but you can't figure out how to get from where you are to where they are.
Maybe you have a bit of FOMO. From where you’re standing, it looks like other T21 moms have found each other and their kids have forged friendships with other kids like them, and you’re thinking, how did that happen? You’re just not quite sure how you can tap into the community, create real opportunities for meaningful friendships for you and your kid, and get out of isolation.
What we’ll explore during our session.
In your personalized session, we'll map out the opportunities that are already available to you but maybe haven’t surfaced in an obvious way. For example:
Making sure your child's therapy teams are coordinating with each other so that everyone’s on the same page and you’re not constantly repeating yourself or playing air traffic control
Knowing that there are clear communication systems in place so that you are always aware of what’s going on with your kid at school and daycare
Having shared goals, routines, and developmental support with teachers and educational assistants, so that strategies are consistent between school and home
Finding the T21 families in your area who could become real friends
Helping your extended family understand the kind of support that would be most valuable
We'll identify the gaps between the support you need and what you're currently accessing, then create a step-by-step plan for bridging those gaps so you know exactly who to contact, what questions to ask, and how to navigate the systems that are supposed to be helping you.
We can also brainstorm about funding resources, programs, community events, and other opportunities that might be available to your family but haven't crossed your radar yet.
You’ll have a real friend on the path.
You get dedicated 1:1 time with me, a fellow T21 mom, either in person or via Zoom, where we’ll focus entirely on your family's unique situation.
This isn't generic advice. We'll work through this step by step together, with practical guidance that's focused, actionable, and infused with a little Mama Magic.
You'll leave feeling clear, supported, and actually excited about the next steps instead of overwhelmed by them.
Why I created these sessions.
Sometimes the most powerful thing to do is to connect with just one other person who truly gets it. Someone who understands the journey you’re on through lived experience.
As parents of children with Down syndrome, we’re constantly attending appointments—therapists, specialists, IEP meetings—and taking in a ton of information. But we rarely get dedicated time and space to pause and actually process it all.
That’s why I created this offering.
There are big questions and big decisions to make. This session is designed to help make those feel more manageable, actionable, bite-sized, and not overwhelming.
Doing this work with another mom who’s been there can be incredibly grounding and clarifying. Together, we’ll look at what’s on your plate and design a path forward that makes sense for you and your family.
There’s no shortage of general advice online—conferences, blogs, Facebook groups, Google rabbit holes. But it’s easy to get lost in all that noise. What if, instead, you could pick three things to focus on this month or this season in your child’s life?
I can help you figure out what matters most right now. Because yes, we can do everything (eventually). But not all at once.
Let’s find the “what can I do” and “what should I do” together.
You’ll leave our session knowing your next step, and feeling clear, empowered, and inspired to take it. Not overwhelmed by a flood of information, but connected to your own knowing.
This is a space to move from overload to aligned action.
